Clean up - Glanadh Suas
It is hoped to organise a general litter clean up on the island (weather permitting) towards the end of next week and prior to the June weekend. In order for the clean up to be successful, the assistance of as many volunteers as possible will be essential. If you are willing to give up an hour or two of your time to help with the clean up, please contact an comharchumann and register your name. If enough volunteers come forward with offers of assistance, we will be able to organise a clean up.

‘Árainn Mhór, Oileán m’Óige’ an t-ainm a bhí ar an gclár raidió a chuir na daltaí scoile le chéile faoi stiúir a múinteora Máire Nic Cathmhaoil agus bronnadh duais €650, urraithe ag RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, orthu. Clár fáisnéise a bhí ann, agus muintir na háite ag cur síos ar saol an oileáin sna blianta siar i gcomparáid le saol an lae inniu ann.

With effect from 1 May 2011, the majority of the functions that previously were under the remit of the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs have now transferred to newly reconfigured Departments.
